Fun Work Place
Patient Account Analyst (Former Employee) –  Toledo, OHOctober 3, 2018
Great place to work, love the staff. however there was no room for growth.
The distance was a bit far from home. There were opportunities for great tiles, but there was not much to expect from salary growth.

great staff

Low morale among employees
Office Manager (Former Employee) –  Toledo, OHSeptember 25, 2018
The culture within the company among the upper level management is very cut throat. They do not value their employees and care more about spending money purchasing buildings and land than they do paying a fair wage to their employees. Their treatment of employees is very unethical.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (Former Employee) –  Toledo, OHSeptember 21, 2018
No longer a place to work. It was sold to a competitor. It was a good place to work before being sold, I was there for 23 years. Nothing else to say about it.

It’s a large company. Lots of changes, not all good. I really don’t have much more to say than that. The small hospitals get left behind on lots of stuff.

To be compassionate and to have empathy with the patients and coworkers. Not everything goes as planned and to take life day by day and enjoy as much as you can.

Billing Specialist (Former Employee) –  Sylvania, OHJuly 25, 2018
Worked in billing office. Lots of people worried about what everyone else did and didn't focus on their job. Some supervisors had their favorite employees and picked on others. Hourly pay was low for college graduates.

Promedica is a good company to work for. They are usually very understanding when it comes to needing time off. Im only per diem so I dont receive any of the benefits. But it is still a pretty good place to work.

Overall okay employer
Patient Registration/Admitting Specialist (Current Employee) –  Sylvania, OHJuly 19, 2018
Promedica offers a variety of programs and things to get involved in to promote a positive working culture. However, there is an atmosphere of passing the buck or throwing employees of other departments to the wolves. For example, the manager or supervisor of one department will make accusations about an employee of another department without clarifying the situation first, making an unnecessary unpleasant atmosphere. The pay rate is average and vacation time is complicated. As far as my job goes, I enjoy my job, I am just getting tired of doing the same job with no opportunities really for meaningful advancement. I enjoy most of the people I work with and have developed friendships with some.
Pros
Good co-workers (mostly); great boss.
Cons
Food is less than desirable in the cafeteria; lunches are too short.

I was busy every day for the most part. I learned a lot. Management could have used more back up from HR. By the time they stepped in it was too late. But the managers themselves were great ladies.
