Worst Job I've Ever Had
Senior Subsea Project Engineer (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 13, 2016
Management at all levels are clueless and only have their best interest at heart. All employees are treated as pawns and are expendable. Right now alot of wrongful termination is happening. This company is owned by an equity firm that has no interest in employee well being.

Productive workplace with good team coordination.
Design Engineer (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 6, 2016
Overall it was a good company to work for minus the separation of communication between upper management and the individual offices. The office environments were very professional and it was a joy to work with everyone.

Company and culture has taken severe downturn
Manager (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXFebruary 2, 2016
Company is drastically different than when hired in 2012. Culture has shifted focus from employee-centered and family oriented to strictly driven by the bottom line. Company has lost morale of nearly entire workforce

Productive Place
Assembler & Electrician (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 8, 2015
This industry is a good company because they provided training to employees to benefit the quality of the job. This job was done with out supervision because they gave us the liberty without being pressured to finish the job because they knew the capacity each employee had to finish the job properly.
Pros
free food sometimes, healthcare

less hours when low job

Shop/service tech (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXApril 15, 2015
An up and coming company that lacks proper training skills for managers, but an overall good company to work for. The people treat each other like family and certain departments work well as a team.
Pros
Early day shift with flex hours, great leads.

CNC Machinist (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXMarch 4, 2015
They hire you, don't train you, don't team you up with anyone, but will write you up the first time you do something wrong. Shop supervisor has never worked on a machine and can give no help.

Good working conditions
Pipe fitter (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJanuary 19, 2015
All work done in a fab shop, at the GE Oil and Gas campus, out of the changing weather conditions. Proserv was a subcontractor.

At times, hours were very demanding. Some schedules were 3:00 am to 3:pm. Getting to work was difficult at times, to get there at 3:00am. Hours changed on the weekends, to accommodate 8-10 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Evening shift was better, coming in at 3:00pm, and getting off at 1:30am. Hours changed on the weekends, to accommodate 8-10 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Both shifts had their own 'clicks'. Dayshift was difficult to 'fit in', as the Latins were most of the supervisors, and spanish was spoken most of the time.

Evening shift had their 'click' of white people that were former dope-heads. Some sucked-up to the supervisors, by bringing them Moster drinks and hot meals.

Oil prices fell, and about 85-90% of Proserv employees were laid off. Rehire is a possibility of oil prices go up.
Pros
Competive pay, excellent benefits
Cons
Long hours, strange work schedule, until lay-off came.
