How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Providence Health & Services? What are the steps along the way?
Worse interviewing experiences ever----human resources personnel at Providence Health System (PHS) Beaverton,OR should be fired. At least, should engage in some type of audit to make the interview process more competent and respectful. Will never consider applying to them again!
First application intially went smoothly-- contacted within a week for an intial interview. Interview was straightforward question regarding experience, usual behavioral querries. End of day submitted email to HR contact an additonal follow up question for the hiring manager. During the response, HR representative unsolicitedly gushed via email (btw) how well my interview went, and that he strongly felt I would be hired. Nice to know I thought! Next day received auto generated notice I would not be considered for position? Reached out to that HR contact for clarification. No response. No oops....my bad! Heard nothing but silence. Silence....ah the refuge of the those who fear accountability or liability.
Second application, Resume....and cover letter submitted. Work experience and education was a spot on match for the positon. Had fun during virtual interview which was completed the following day. One week, two week, three week, four weeks pass and have heard nothing. Finally reach out to HR contact on job posting and politely ask if anything else is needed to review my candicacy. Was told in a rather clipped manner that I will be contacted when the hiring manager get back to them. Three week later...finally received auto generated denial which said something about careful consideration...blah blah blah.
Excellence, integrity and Compassion (some of PHS values) seemed be on vacation during my outreach. I would avoid them, and carefully look at their own employees reveiws before considering applying.
Never. That’s why they have such a high turnover. Corporate greed. Unfortunately today’s medical care isn’t ran by medical but by corporations that only care about padding their wallets.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Providence Health & Services a better place to work?
Upgrade the computer systems specially when there are emergencies for employees to work from home if they can
What advice would you give the CEO of Providence Health & Services about how to improve it?
Hire diversity, attract more talent, hire younger people, update computer systems, upgrade technology.
Extremely stressful, busy, no breaks, doing the job of 3 people instead of one. They try to run lean with medical workers so you have to do more and more. So dangerous for patients.
