Stop the favoritism that constantly occurs. Also, give hours to competent, reliable, and hardworking employees. Publix is horrendous about giving new hires and minors hours in an abundance. However, even if you open your schedule wide open, if you’re not with the in crowd, you don’t receive hours. The lack of leadership, critical thinking, and accountability is where Publix truly is above the competition.

I would start by fireing Todd the current CEO who allowed employee bonuses to be takeen away and doubled manager bonuses...then he cut the employees insurance.(I had to drive a county over to find an in network docter after the changes).... Managers need to be accountable for their actions. I saw managers cuss out employees and nothing happened to them.I saw a store manager harass disabled people until they quit simply cuz he didn't want them working in his manager kicked up at the seafood or cuz it was angry one day and knocked over the seafood clerk and nothing happened to him.I want they called in sick and the store manager and my manager called me 15 times within 5 minutes. These are problems that need to be addressed managers need to be accountable for their actions

Went to hiring event talked to 2 department heads that afternoon got a call to meet for a job offer the next day. Got a lowball offer for Part Time and turned it down.

I took my interview on Monday. I received a job offer and was called for a drug test and background check later that same day, but i wasn’t able to come back to the store until Wednesday evening. I got my results back the Wednesday after that and went in and filled out paperwork on Friday. I would say the whole process is a little over a week.
