This company is a bait and switch
Mortgage Loan Consultant (Former Employee) –  Centennial, COFebruary 4, 2019
The company promises a lot but does not make good on their promises. they have a revolving door and treat employees like robots. On the surface everything is nice but in reality we have coworkers having mental breakdowns on a monthly basis.

Positive atmoshere
Senior Loan Processor (Former Employee) –  Centennial, COOctober 11, 2018
Pulte mortgage is a good company to work for the positive friendly atmosphere is what kept me going for 8 years. Typical work day managed between 60-90 files, customer service was very important maintaining a relationship with all customers making sure you reached out to each one of them within a 2-3 day time frame. Reviewed conditions and processed a loan completely until home was ready for closing.

Run Away!
Mortgage Loan Officer (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COJuly 2, 2018
Horrible company to work for. Sweat shop, with incompetent leadership. RSM's encourage shady practices on their employees. Mandatory OT every week, and if you dont want to come in every day of the week, they tell you that you are in the wrong career. They dont care if you have family to care for, and you are basically a just another number that can be replaced. This is why they are ALWAYS hiring!! Turnover and firing people left and right!!!

Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COJune 21, 2018
Company had goals for each employee to try to obtain and strive to meet. Most managers I worked with seemed to value what I brought to the company. They provided what you needed to accomplish your daily tasks.

High stress, high pressure, upper management out of touch with employees. Employees are treated as disposable. Management creates an environment that keeps you continually worrying about the work you have done.
Pros
Healthcare Coverage

Run, don't walk
Loan Processor (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COApril 9, 2018
Not a great work environment and definitely not a good place for work life balance. Your bonus/commission is dependent on how the customer feels Pulte did overall which can mean Pulte Homes Sales Consultant, the people at the Design Center, the Loan Consultant they talked to, etc. If they were unhappy with anyone of them and yet happy with you, you're most likely to still get a bad Customer Satisfaction Survey and that is how your bonus is calculated. Most of your bonus each month is from the Survey that you are not in control of. Even if they put in the hand written fields that you did good, you can still lose out because they only measure it based on the predetermined responses which can be confusing to the customer. They often don't realize, remember or care that they are only suppose to rate you. When they get the survey, their entire experience comes rushing back to the forefront of their mind and if anything went bad, forget a good score and forget the bonus! People are leaving their in droves and they have revolving training because they can't keep people.
Cons
Micro management at it's finest, You would be treated better and with more latitude at McDonalds.

The company is mired in the 80s
Lead Web Developer/Certified Scrum Master (Former Employee) –  Centennial, COFebruary 15, 2018
Pulte Mortgage LLC has a very lethargic culture. Many of the employees have been there for 20 years and are simply resistant to changes in the industry. It has a meeting culture where no one is accountable.

Operations Productions Manager & Loan Processor (Former Employee) –  Centennial, CONovember 10, 2017
Would recommend this company to anyone who wants a fast paced but happy atmosphere. The branches that Pulte worked with across the nation are amazing and always try to help find a solution instead of be part of the problem.
Pros
lunches, farmers markets, coffee bars, juice bars, snow cones, fun things

Over worked and under appreciated
Loan Processor (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COOctober 24, 2017
Worked way too much. Mon-Sun at the office and from home. Definitely not appreciated. Training is questionable and at times confusing. Learned one program, they hired new processors with little to no knowledge and cut that training process in half then threw to the wolves to try and split the loan processor job into TWO seperate positions which in the long run was supposed to be better for the buyer but only created a much bigger mess with average backlog of 90 loans per processor and instead of correcting the problem appropriatly and respectfully, they fired individuals to start from scratch and cover up who dedicated most of their time, put their families to the side and even received a raise 2 weeks prior. Great pay but turnover is ridiculous and not very loyal. Then team managers had no time to help or follow through with support. Messy.

Loan Consultant (Current Employee) –  Centennial, COOctober 17, 2017
Management and the co-workers are amazing. The job can be stressful at times, but it's the people around you that make it amazing. This company goes above and beyond to make it special for everyone who works there.

The training was okay. There was a lot of turnover in the management department. Had 1 racist manager who did not like minority women.

Mortgage Loan Originator (Former Employee) –  Denver, COJuly 15, 2017
Was a busy but rewarding job especially for first time consultants. Interviewed first time buyers, locked interest rates and issued conditional credit approvals from the underwriter as well as call out final figures.

Extremely Overwhelming
Mortgage Loan Processor (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COMay 28, 2017
Poor training, thrown to the wolf style after a few weeks of system training.
No follow up with management when asking for guidance or help with anything.
Ask for additional training nothing happens.
They have good bonus structure if you can even meet the minimum, they set the bar so high its unobtainable.
Work you to death, 90+ loan at any given time, they dont care if you have that many. Then you get in trouble for having over due task.
Easy to put on personal improvement plans, action plans, etc.
You feel like you can't take days off, vacations or even call in sick because then your work load is unbearable when you get back, time restraints are hard to keep. You have operational specialists on your back, Loan Consultants on your back, managers on your back.
When another business partner is out on vacation or sick you have to take care of their work along with your own.
No appreciation or positive feedback in one-on-ones with management only negativity.
Pros
Employee team building, bonus structure
Cons
health insurance, long hours, poor managment, poor training

Respectful, engaged management
Programmer/Analyst/BA (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COMay 2, 2017
Pulte management cares about culture and tries to do what's right: 2 paid volunteer days/year, organized volunteering events, and a charitable giving committee.

When home sales are strong, Pulte gives perks, albeit small, like free sodas, and an annual service bonus.

What tells you a lot about Pulte is how many employees have worked there for many, many years.
Pros
Good overall culture
Cons
Industry is subject to periodic home sale downswings, resulting in layoffs.
