ADMISSIONS ADVISOR (Current Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLJune 4, 2019
The culture and environment was fantastic. I was lucky enough to have 3 fantastic managers. However, the company is going through changes and growth, so the requirements of employees and job descriptions are not clear.

Great environment

Cool people and a nice environment, It is basically a call center for online university programs. Don't expect much. Mediocre management and typical call center metrics and goals. Don't hit numbers and your out. Nice as a layover job!

Senior Admissions Advisor (Former Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLMarch 21, 2019
Unattainable goals...you may sit for hours without speaking to students but will still be responsible for goals. Not only are you responsible for interviewing and enrolling the student...besides assisting with financial aid...you are responsible for the student to stay in class for over a month...u.mm..shoukd academics be responsible for this? Most students are looking for a job or just want to know when their stipend and grant is coming in ...company in itself is great...Graham Holding...but, Kaplan aka Purdue University Global is shady and there is so much talk that they are failing...many employees are afraid of school closing eventually and or massive lay offs. Speaking of lay offs...Kaplan is known that you can work for them for years and walk in and be let go in matter of seconds...they say " it is not personal, just business's...just always have a back up plan and save money bc eventually, you will be let go or laid off without notice.
Pros
Compensation, benefits...great coworkers!
Cons
Some management have no clue and pretend they know what they are doing... favoritism, job security is horrible

Professor, Department of Criminal Justice (Current Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309November 5, 2018
Purdue is a great place to work. It is low stress and as a adjunct professor, the time needed to complete daily activities in minimal. Having worked for other online institutions, Purdue Global is one of the best.

Fast paced but lots of down time. The hardest part about the job is the micromanaging from the people higher up and quality assurance. The workplace culture is amazing. Employees are very friendly and easy going. You have to meet a quota, or else you will be out of a job very quickly.
Pros
Good management
Cons
Lack of advancement

Company vision is great. Poor management
Student Accounts Representative (Former Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLMay 26, 2018
Overall company has excellent mission, student focused. Management is poor. Managers show favoritism by approving time off for some and not others. Time off caps at 3-weeks vacation after 10-years for hourly employees, salaried employees have more time off. Health benefits after 30-days of employment; high out of pocket deductible and employee contribution is high. Salaries are low and no pay increases even if you are a solid performer. Company 401K contributions very low. Non-inclusive employee atmosphere, can let you go any day. Expected to take more responsibilities with no pay increase.
Pros
Health benefits after 30-days of employment
Cons
Poor management. Cut-throat environment. Low salaries.

To fix the previous culture there will need to be a lot of things changed. It seems that the new admissions senior leadership is trying to turn things around. It is a waiting game to see how secure our jobs are at this point.
Pros
Autonomy
Cons
Poor Lower level management

Admissions Adviser (Former Employee) –  Ft. Lauderdale, FLMarch 19, 2018
co-workers are good and make the job fun but management has unrealistic goals. Upper management views people as numbers while lower management is weak and has no say for the company path. often times reflects the NBC show "The Office."
