Company had good benefits and compensation. However, there is a lack of work life balance IMO. There is a certain level of expectation that employees will work evenings past their work day and weekends. If that is for you then you will enjoy working here.
Good benefits, good compensation
Lack of work life balance, expectation that you will put in time over the weekend and evenings
This can be a dream job if you work with amicable people. It can be a tough place to work otherwise. Long hours are expected frequently but if you are reliable it does provide some flexibility to perform those hours remotely/whenever you want.
Excellent place to work on specially tax team. Management is very caring. One can discuss about his/her issues. Salaries compare to other Big 4 is bit lower but other benefits are much better than any companies. If Tata group is considered as next to govt then it is next to Tata. Highly recommend to work here.
Good salary and advantages (company car, fuel card, phone...) but apart from this nothing really interesting. If you expect a good atmosphere with caring people you are at the wrong place. Same if you expect to have great projects where you will learn...sadly

Jobs at PwC
I worked in PwC during my IT days and also after service. PwC is a wonderful company to work. They help in career development and advancement. They also provide great benefits to their staff.
I worked for PwC for more than a decade, so there were enough positives to keep me there, however, there is one significant flaw in the firm that can affect anyone at any time. Promotions to management grades tend to be made on the strength of length of tenure, technical knowledge and/ or networking, and not on management skills. Consequently there are often issues with decisions made by people who are not skilled in managing people and teams. You can be lucky to get a manager who has the skills or you may be unlucky. The most obvious sign that all is not well is PwC's decision to split the roles of Line Manager and People Manager, a role that is normally done by one job holder in companies where management skills are much stronger. Because this has been a long term issue, many of the most senior people are under-skilled and perpetuate the situation by hiring and promoting more people with poor management skills. The consequences are many and varied examples being- people competing instead of working as a team, being defensive and indecisive and decision-making lacking objectivity and adequate preliminary information gathering. This causes significant additional costs to the firm. The practical implementation and maintenance of the firm's stated culture, that is in theory very good but in practice suffers from the same issues. When tested, senior people rather than juniors tend to fall short of standards. Having said that, if you are lucky to get a good line manager, then life-work balance is fine and results are good, failures are few, such that the firm benefits as - more...
High profile clients, client facing work, the name PwC, the firm's reputation.
Poor management; Ponderous costly internal firms services, Competitive culture, poor out of date systems.
PwC is a great company for young professionals seeking for growth and challenges. Career path is clear and salary is competitive. Working colleauges are strong and teamworks are required.
PwC prides itself on work-life balance and technology but I found that to be the complete opposite. I was overworked and underpaid and had to take on a lot of responsibilities that were not part of my job title, nor was my "official" job title appropriate for my position. Many others had assumed titles/positions but did not do the work that would come with it whereas others had the responsibilities of a certain position but not the title. The company tries to adopt technology but uses different tech for each department (none of which work coherently with the other) and are outdated. There is no internal client service from other staff or departments like IT, Business Centre, Billing, PAs and it seems to take everybody across all departments 10 extra steps to get anything done or be productive.
The only pros were the health benefits
Long hours, anxiety, stress, disorganization, poor management and communication
