A driven company of employees that have a say in their future and the future of the company. Rewards are plentiful across the board, based on merit.
I learned that we reap what we sow and hard work pays off.
A typical day at work included a check run of anywhere from 8-60 checks. Matching up the payables invoices to the check. Determining if the check was special delivery (i.e. FEDEX) and doing the appropriate extra steps to ensure prompt delivery.
All employees wear many hats and work very hard there. A company built with an entrepreneurial spirit by one woman then sold to a large Corporation based out of NYC.
Hardest part of the job is allowing the upper management to realize employees need a work/life balance. (i.e. Breaks for lunch and otherwise throughout a busy day). Managing a file room with no system or "out cards" to know where the files have gone while other employees may be in search of said file. No accountability of a path each file takes from origination to it's last place filed.
Enjoyable parts were working with good professional people in a relaxed work environment. Sometimes, too relaxed.
Too many chiefs opinions, not enough action on them.
