Stressful, but with the potential of being rewarding
Sr. Software Engineer (Current Employee) – San Francisco, CA – August 6, 2017
It really depends who you ask, but the company overall is not bad. There are facets that are good, as well as those that are bad. The employees are good, management is bad. The perks are good, manager's thought processes are bad. Some managers are good, and those tend to retain their direct reports. The others - do not.
The company has a very good perks - lunch is provided, happy hour, and ping pong. However, the company is growing too quickly and doesn't know to handle it. Morale is low in every department. Employees are worried for their jobs. ELT has stated that they do NOT feel that experience is necessary and will internally promote an employee with NO experience to a higher job. I would not recommend working at Quantcast until they have sorted themselves out.
