Consistent hours and consistent workload
SERVICE CLERK (Former Employee) –  Gurnee, ILJune 19, 2019
It was a school cafeteria, but served better food than was typical of a school lunch. Different stations provided different meals, there was a grill station, a pizza and pasta station, a grab and go, a hot slides station (fries and chicken tenders ready to go), salads, sandwiches made to order (could also be warmed up), taco station, and a station featuring different items each day on a rotating schedule.

All in all, it was a good job, coworkers were fine, workload was split, and the day was full.
Pros
Free lunch, consistent hours, vacation times known
Cons
Healthcare was expensive, no work for most during the summer

This place is the worst, poor management, team members are really lazy they can do whatever they want, there is no control, the cooks are lazy the crew fights each other and if you like to be on your phone and do nothin that is your dream job. You’ll see the staff just looking at their phone.

Great Place to Work
General Manager (Current Employee) –  River Forest, ILMarch 4, 2019
Really enjoy working at Quest. The team on-site and at corporate is great. Incredibly helpful. It kind of like working at a start-up and you have access to the CEO, President, and Vice President which is great for those looking to continue moving upward and want to learn the in's and out's of the business.

Food Service Director (Current Employee) –  Tinley Park, ILMarch 4, 2019
Quest provides a great work life balance, with opportunities to move up within the company itself. They offer mentoring and training to help those move up within the company, as well as great managerial support.

Not a bad place if you want work.
Cook/Prep (Current Employee) –  Indianapolis, INFebruary 9, 2019
Great work experience with team Chefs rarely cook items in which they want produced . Sous did most of cooking production , deligating work ,and filling work for numerous call ins that were on a normal basis . Very hard to get skilled foodservice workers for the exhibition stations to serve and engage guests effectively Employees that show up to work everyday are less appreciated than those that are temporary workers ,and or that are tardy ,and absent .
Pros
Great management team

Great leadership
Food Service Director (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MIDecember 11, 2018
Great leadership fast growing company with tons of opportunity. Executive leadership is some of the best I have been around. Some small details that could be tightened up but that is expected with the growth.
Pros
Career opportunity
Cons
Fast growing, which some small details are missed.

Cashier (Former Employee) –  Lake Forest, ILOctober 25, 2018
Worst company ever. No leadership from district manager, she don't care about you. All they care about is the budget. Always short staffed- you wonder everyday how many folks call-out and they expect you to move faster at work to get all the work done and still leave on your scheduled time. Over worked and under paid, rarely get a break. No training at all - lucky if you get 1 days worth of training. High staff turnover - don't know how they still have a contract at Lake Forest.
Too much stress and headache.

Family Atmosphere with positive impact to Chicagoland Schools
IT Engineer (Current Employee) –  Lombard, ILMarch 21, 2018
I found Quest Food Management to be a place that is steadily growing but hasn't forgotten its roots on what makes it a successful business. The thing that makes this business successful is the people that work there. It is more like a family than a bunch of coworkers. Time is taken out of each day to check on each other's well being. Along with the occasional group lunches, making sure that we have fun while working is important. I have been very stressed out at other jobs but not here. Not that I have less to do, I actually have more responsibility than I have ever had before, but the stress just isn't there. And when you do a good job, they make sure that you are recognized for it. Overall, a great place to work.
Pros
Fun atmosphere, Respect, and a chance to grow the company
Cons
none so far
