I would be more attentive to the workers and what they need help with, try to push for a system update (system is extremely old and it’s a huge inconvenience for employees and customers). I would look into getting calls recorded because if a customer calls and curses you out there is no evidence of the call so it’s there word against yours and your word doesn’t matter 99% of the time. Talk time could be extended, most situations cannot be taken care of in the timeframe they want you to in customer service.

Like someone said,QVC is def not about customer service. It is all about getting the customer on. And off the phone as quickly as poss. QVC is all about money,period.

You work 10 hour shifts and the shift you have after training is set unless you get approved for a temp schedule change (for 30 days) or bid on a new shift during the shift auction which comes around every once in a while. Other than that your hours are set, not much flexibility.

A typical day is busy. Back to back calls unless it’s a slow day (rare) or a required day (everyone HAS to work). There’s a lot of nice customers but there is a lot of very rude, entitled customers as well. The day can be pretty draining because you’re answering calls back to back with not much assistance from management (sometimes they try but they are hard to reach most of the time). It’s a normal call center job.
