Jobs at Qwick
Work is slow and Managment has changed
Bartender/Server (Former Employee) - Atlanta, GA - November 29, 2023
Qwick use to have a lot of jobs to choose from but now it’s barely any that are shown. They have gotten worst with management and extremely unprofessional. The pay was great if you cancel the pay drops half and they play games with you not being at the job site when the app tracks your location. I had this happen a few times and text some one so unprofessional I could not believe this was really a conversation I had for an hour of back and forth nonsense. The Manager on site also verified my presence but this person felt the need to keep going back and forth about nothing.
Pros
Not sure but use to be
Cons
Unprofessional management

Rarely ever any matches
Server (Former Employee) - Orlando, FL - November 22, 2023
I wouldn't recommend this app for professional servers or if you already have a job and are just looking for some extra side income . I also wouldn't recommend it if you need consistent income. The only time I ever received matches were at the very last minute (like day of) when I'm already scheduled to work my regular full time job. The matches I received were also never specifically serving roles but more support staff roles like bussing or dishwashing. I was looking for event type serving positions with my 6 years of experience and Serve safe and Alcohol Safety Certifications. I never got anything like that. I also only ever received matches maybe once every few months. I live in a large city so there definitely should be more opportunities.

Horrible management/ support staff
Chef, cook, etc (Current Employee) - San Diego, CA - November 4, 2023
I have been working for qwick for quite a while I have noticed that there team in Arizona offers a wider variety of jobs. As soon as I moved back to San Diego I experienced completely different story. It seems that their agents play favoritism, I have a very high score with them and have been with them for a long time and yet I have seen that I get less job offers then employees with lower scores and reliability and haven't been with the company as long. On top of this they have a very dumb system of punishing you if you have to call off and you're required Confirm your job constantly which is even worse if you have a main job or pick a job a week or so in advance. There's support team is the worst and nearly non existent, they give very blanket answers to questions when they finally answer back to questions you have. What is even worse is they hire a ton of people that are horrible and when you show up employers have had such a horrible experience in the past with previous employees you have to prove yourself a great worker, then you do and they constantly request you there after..... which would bet ok but qwick does nothing to incentivise or reward its hard, loyal workers..
Pros
There is only one pro to this poorly managed company; that you get paid after each shift.
Cons
Practicly everything else, no pay scale, poor direction, horrible support staff, no contact, no employee appreciation...the list is long

Freelancer (Current Employee) - San Diego, CA - November 3, 2023
In four months about four shifts have ever popped up, three dishwashing and one barista, and they were gone before I managed to open the app. Was not worth all the effort to get set up.
Pros
None
Cons

Run far away from this company...
Operations (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - September 11, 2023
Cult-like culture and an executive team who got their positions through nepotism or being lackeys, not actual relevant experience or results. CEO's ego has inflated beyond recognition. Great product idea, but poor execution and competing/misguided priorities from leadership teams. They claim to have a transparent environment but if you speak up like cultural "values" encourage, you put a target on your head. The company will be going under in no time at all.

Great idea for whomever came up with it.
Prep & Line Cook, Banquet Captain & Server, Bartender (Current Employee) - Dallas-Fort Worth, TX - July 19, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? When they send me jobs and I can work, I do. If I can't, I don't. Best job opportunity EVER! KId's birthday and need off? Don't work. Anniversary? Don't work. Nothing going on today? Go to work... What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Available to work, but no assignment sent out. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Easy, "app" based assignments. Only draw back is lack of a person to contact; everything has to be done via the "app". What is a typical day like for you at the company? Get sent a job opportunity and either accept it or decline it. It's a "no brainer".

Choose schedule
Freelancer (Current Employee) - San Diego, CA - July 16, 2023
When there are jobs available it's nice. There's no support from management. Dealing with the app and text support from management is a farce joke. Working for qwick inspired me to open my own business because I've had it working for apathetic employers. Qwick only cares about money
Pros
Schedule
Cons
Low pay, respect and appreciation

The Covid boom is over, and they have ran out of ink of the money printer.
Manager (Former Employee) - Scottsdale, AZ - July 7, 2023
They kicked back and rode a covid wave, thinking the cash would continue to pour in. We never once hit a goal while I was there. They preach these values but are blind to the reality. You can't spend the way they do, hire unskilled labor, and expect to continue this rocket ride. The founding team needs to set aside. They are not equipt to scale this organization to the next level. Party is over.
Pros
Money, nice tech
Cons
Unskilled leadership, founding team, cult culture

Qwick -worst interview process
Server (Former Employee) - online virtual interview - June 23, 2023
This process for a job was so impersonal, the interview is just a whole bunch of more questions that don’t make no sense. Hospitality is not your strong suit.. you guys need to go check again what industry you guys are in.Hospitality is not robotic, or mechanical. You guys obvious are only doing this for the bottom line. Worst experience on any platform in terms of your evaluation of people. absolutely Worst experience!! People are who make the hospitality industry what it is. if you need robots invest in AI..

There’s only one shift and it’s when the drunk janitor at ikea calls out
Hospitality Associate (Former Employee) - Varied - June 11, 2023
So far I have only seen one shift offered in my area and it’s for Burbank, janitorial work at ikea. The paragraph of the job description is creepy. You can’t listen to music and you better work hard. Meanwhile, I am a fine dining server, a banquet server AND a bartender. None of this kind of work has been offered. They are responsive via text and seem nice enough. But. There’s no work in LA.
Pros
Every Sunday you can work the hungover janitorial shift
Cons
There’s no work. I’ve spent $57 for new news and top for this job for no reason.

There’s going to be instances you have a hard time getting your money
Bartender (Current Employee) - Bartender - May 4, 2023
There’s going to be instances you have a hard time getting your money. If it instance comes up or you have a problem with the business they’re going to take the businesses side and not back there employed. If you’re a bartender they’re going to keep your tips and they’re going to screw you out of your money. Beware of if you’re a bartender for working for these company this company because you will not get your tips and they do not care if the business keeps your tips. They will not defend you in any problem

Overall qwick is as advertised
Busser/Banquet Server (Current Employee) - Scottsdale, AZ - April 24, 2023
It's kind of hard to complain when we choose where we work and what we get paid and when we work. The incentives are good. The opportunity to repeat the same job is available

Good so far
Freelance (Current Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - April 3, 2023
Worked 6 shifts and wish there was more shifts available. I am not seeing as many shifts some of my friends but am working getting my liquor license certification.

Great for the immediate pay
Hospitality Professional (Former Employee) - Orlando, FL - April 1, 2023
I enjoyed my time with Qwick. Ended up finding a loophole which I helped them understand and ultimately we all figured it out. I can't say I'm a fan of their new look. I enjoyed the simplicity of the older style.

Don't waste your time
Bartender (Current Employee) - Los Angeles, CA - March 16, 2023
They bombard you with things to do during the first days like if they had a bunch of jobs lined up to give you. And then they don't have anything for the position you applied for. They probably hired you beacuse there are many jobs that very few people want to do. So once you decided to turn off the jobs you don't want to do, they don't offer you anything.
Pros
No pros really.
Cons
Waste of time, no work available on the position you've applied fot

Flexible schedule
Culinary Specialist (Current Employee) - Nashville, TN - March 13, 2023
If your a good hospitality professional this could be a great side gig for you. I used it the first few months when I moved to town to test out various restaurants and operations to find a good fit for a permanent job.
Pros
You choose when you work
Cons
Some employers only put you in boring jobs
