Poor Management
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Bronx, NYSeptember 10, 2018
Bad organization culture. Management is not experienced. Money only at the top. Commissions are poor. No loyalty. You can sign a big account and they will take it away from you and give it to another rep offering no protection on your growth of income.

Beware sneaky company
Salesperson (Former Employee) –  Hanover, MDAugust 8, 2018
WOW,

This company is sneaky Chefs Warehouse has a terrible reputation for their culture they've had to too stoop to using another company name to Qzina Specialty Foods to disguise themselves for hiring, LOL.

Chefs bought Qzina years ago their out of California a far cry from Hanover MD.

Run don't walk this is not a stepping stone or a career move. You spend all your time making deliveries because of warehouse miss-picks. The credit department is a mess your stuck with old house accounts that are NSF and you are responsible.

They have an extensive product line great for learning all you can and employee discounts.
Pros
Product education
Cons
cut throat culture

Terrible management
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILJuly 30, 2018
This place is a train wreck with accountability for the lower wage employees but no accountability for
Management. Little training, unethical practices that only benefit the company.

Terrible place to work
Food Service Worker (Former Employee) –  Columbus, OHApril 3, 2018
The supervisor for the shift speaks no english and is very unreliable/unhelpful ; employees are reluctant to helping new people yet they are so critical of your work ethic. There is no training upon starting, you are thrown on your own and rarely checked on by the management. You are not allowed to leave the building for lunch to go to your car or get food. It is a start to finish job so if you live a structured /schedule based life , this is not a good job to work at. Work is not worth the amount they pay.

This was one of my most favorite places to work. I only left due to the low rate of pay. I miss the company and the employees. The workload was sufficient and everyone was generally very pleasant.

Nice place to work
Staff Accountant (Former Employee) –  Pompano Beach, FLMay 2, 2016
Qzina had a different atmosphere when I first began working for them. Unfortunately they were bought out by another company and the dynamics changed. The accounting department was eliminated as the new company had their own staff in their corporate office.
