Don’t work here, you’ll regret it!
Environmental Manager (Former Employee) - Tacoma, WA - September 1, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? LOL, payday. That about the only thing I would say was every positive What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Constant nagging, micromanagement, too many managers, not enough hands on workers. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Hostile! Management talks a big talk about safety and collaboration and working together. But when it comes down to it, they’ll prioritize production over people every time What is a typical day like for you at the company? Show up, work your butt off while getting ridiculed and yelled at. Skip breaks, put your life in danger and go home broken and tired

Highly Professional, if a bit stifling
CDL Class A Driver (Current Employee) - Tacoma, WA - July 25, 2023
A pretty well run plant with an irritable environment and bureaucratically overwhelming management. Union membership helps, but it’s a whole bunch of different unions in one place. It’s not necessarily dog-eat-dog, but apathy is the order of the day.

Fast paced
Buyer (Current Employee) - Tacoa, AL - June 22, 2023
Fast paced, good management, long hours. Great pay and sometimes free food to bring the yard together. Those have diminished lately due to pricing partially. If you are a person who puts yourself out there and meets others in your department this is a good place to work.

Stuck in place.
Operator (Current Employee) - Portland, ME - June 2, 2023
No room for growth, logistics, machinery and management is lacking. Employees are always trying to find ways to throw each other under the bus. The work is rewarding but you are at the will of the current market.

Toxic
Heavy equipment operator (Former Employee) - Everett, MA - June 1, 2023
There is a big lack of communication between all managers, it's like playing the phone game at summer camp. Get multiple answers from people that don't know what's going on. There is a big lack of consideration for people's lives outside of work. The big managers are very out of touch with employees. They are barely seen. Also, the union is pretty much another form of management.
Cons
The healthcare sucks

Outside Buyer (Former Employee) - California - May 25, 2023
Great group of professionals and an amazing culture! The goals are challenging but they are achievable if you work hard. In my time there, I missed everyone I worked with. Highly recommend this company, they held their standards high with ethics being first priority dealing with customers, which I respecte 💯

Satisfying work that give what you put in
Mechanic (Current Employee) - Burbank, WA - March 20, 2023
The yard I work for is excellent, small crew that is close and hard working, local management is great very understanding of work/life balance. The crew is self regulating, if you are hard worker, with a willing and humility to learn, and that gets along with others and willing always be a team player. you'll fit in. Self centered and laziness don't last. Overall a great place to work if you're a worker.
Pros
Steady work makes days go by quick, work/life balance, camaraderie, variety of work.
Cons
Nothing to complain about

There's better
Driver (Former Employee) - Jefferson, GA - March 17, 2023
You are a number, never forget that. Just like a broken part; and can be replaced. Getting loads moved no matter what is the company number 1 goal. And don't express your opinions ever
Pros
Paycheck
Cons
Equipment, Management

Find somewhere else
Groundsman (Current Employee) - Everett, MA - March 7, 2023
Used to be a good place to work when I started, slowly declined in my time here. Union is weak and will constantly side with company and never fight for members. Alot of constant schedule changes. From all the overtime you want to none. Sometimes within a day or two of them saying otherwise. Upper management in yard reminds me of the people in the haribo gummy bear commercials. I would seek employment elsewhere. Unless you don't .inf management acting like they own you.
Pros
Zero
Cons
Weak union

They say they are caring but they are just another corporate office taking advantage
Office Coordinator (Former Employee) - California - January 3, 2023
Lay offs happen every 3 or 4 years by the hundreds. Advancement is a verbiage tool used but never executed honestly. Lots of empty promises to keep everyone temporarily happy or quiet, using people as pawns and tools to keep the work flow going but truly knowing that at the end of the day none of the promises will be given a second thought. Unless your an executive, your just a pawn.
Pros
Some positions are hybrid
Cons
Expensive benefits, no sick pay unless you use your pto, dishonest.
