The most useful review selected by IndeedUpper management makes decisions without consulting people who actually do the work. Constant changes to policy. Decent pay but extremely stressful.

No matter what you did it still wasn't good enough .
Dispatcher/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Allentown, PA - May 1, 2023
If you couldn't be manipulated by the manager then you were sunk from the beginning. He leadership only happened when it was convenient for her or if upper management was coming

Pay was ok but not worth 24/7
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Alcoa, TN - April 5, 2023
Not enough appreciation for what you have to juggle. 6 days a week 7 days a week, always short handed and mgmt has to step in. Contractor work is a joke, the pay is not worth it. Overall it’s not a good work environment.

It's work
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Kentwood, MI - April 1, 2023
No advancement help, recognition, or opportunity. Will expect the world and acknowledge mistakes with no thank you for hard work or extra stuff completed. Would not recommend working unless you have no life outside of work, absolutely no work life balance opportunities.

Good salary, long hours
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Grand Rapids, MI - March 27, 2023
Good pay. Lack of corporate support. Slow to react, slow to fill open positions creating long hours on team trying to get work done. Very negative attitudes.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Little support

RAS delivery
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - TN - January 26, 2023
It’s hard work delivering and working the warehouse. You put a lot of hours in but, the money is decent. The benefits could be better and cheaper. Overall it’s a good place to work.

Unethical company
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Alcoa, TN - October 3, 2022
Not worth the time and effort for the pay. No quality of life, absolute horrible upper management, and lack of job security. They will fire you for being a parent who cares.

Figure It Out On Your Own - But You'd Better Get It Right
Terminal Manager (Former Employee) - Madison, AL 35758 - July 4, 2022
Do you like working 16-18 hour days, constant pressure to meet unrealistic and vague metrics, and absolutely NO support from senior management? Then RAS Logistics is the place for you! The company offers PTO, but you can't take days off work during "sale season," which is 350 days out of the year. This company squeezes the life out of its employees and contractors. And NO ONE CARES if you put everything into your job. People are expendable, to the point that no one blinks when a highly skilled and dedicated employee burns out in a year. They just line up the fresh meat for the next round in the pressure cooker.
Pros
Commiserating with other employees.
Cons
Long hours, no PTO, hostile work environment, nonexistent support from an absent senior leadership group.

Daily operations
Office Administrator (Former Employee) - Grand Rapids, MI - May 17, 2022
From management to location help, RAS poorly operates its daily functions. There is no regards in how management reacts with employees. It’s more of a sink or swim ideology. Within a years time, two employee walkouts have taken place. In which it could have entirely been avoided if there weren’t severe neglect in the complaint/assistance department.

no room for growth, want you to do the work of 2 people even if you stay for 10-11-12-13-14 hours a day.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Madison, AL - November 20, 2021
Would be a great company if the management over the Madison Site did not throw people under the bus and take credit for your work while throwing you under the bus. The HQ people are wonderful.

Great working environment
Office Administrator (Former Employee) - Chattanooga, TN - February 25, 2021
Absolutely loved working for RAS LOGISTICS would have to say I was very very sad when I left. I looked forward to going to work everyday they literally had to make me leave when my shift was over . Everyone at the Chattanooga location makes you feel like family. Corporate however I have nothing good to say about them they don’t seem to care at all about there employees an when they don’t need anything from you anymore they are very rude about letting u go even when it is on good terms. Everyone I witnessed they let go weather it be on good terms or bad terms they treat them like criminals an escort them off property as if they committed a horrible crime.
Pros
Great work environment at the Chattanooga location
Cons
Corporate rude an doesn’t care about the employees.

A great place to work
Office Administrator (Current Employee) - Wilmington, NC - November 13, 2020
Fast-paced and exciting! Focus! Focus! Focus! I guarantee you if you’re focused each day will fly by quickly and your job will be that much easier. If you’re easily distracted you’re probably going to struggle one way or another.

Perfect
Warehouse Supervisor (Current Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - November 8, 2020
The perfect job to meet my needs. The office is nowhere near as demanding as the warehouse is. The learning curve is reasonable…it won’t take you long to fit into your job role. My co-workers are friendly people. I can’t complain.

A well-run operation
Subcontractor/Laborer (Former Employee) - Wilmington, NC - November 3, 2020
A well-run operation from the top to the bottom. From the way we’re managed to the warehouse to office administrators to deliveries, RAS is very organized. It was a stable job that provided a consistent stream of income for my family.

Team based environment
Office Administrator (Current Employee) - Alcoa, TN - October 29, 2020
The environment is team based through and through. When we’re really in synch with one another there’s a noticeable improvement in workflow. Synergy plays a big role in how successful we are day to day. RAS Logistics is a good company to work for if you’re a team player.

Challenging but worth it
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Wilmington, NC - October 26, 2020
It has been a pleasure working for RAS Logistics as a delivery driver. The physical demands of the job – lifting heavy boxes – has its obvious downsides, but the consistent work and regular interactions with customers makes it worth it. It does for me anyways, but then again I’m a people person.

Couldn’t have asked for a better job
Check-In Coordinator (Current Employee) - Alcoa, TN - October 22, 2020
As long as you prove yourself capable you’re given a lot of responsibility right from the beginning. It can be hard working with so many different types of personalities, but that’s not an issue exclusive to RAS. It’s easily one of the better companies I’ve worked for in a long time.
