The work environment at Raytheon in Ft. Bliss, El Paso is entertaining and hot. Many of the people that come in from Boston have a great personality. However, there is a lot of bigotry from leads and managers in El Paso that run the facility. Their condescending attitudes were shown towards people who have a superb work ethic. It made their friends and family members who have been hired with little to no skill in the field look bad. They start getting questioned. However, nothing is done because of the relationship that is developed between such personnel. The best advice that i can offer, is to work at the pace everyone else is working. Do not try to succeed or show all of your capabilities. You will be frowned upon. The worst statement I ever received was on a Saturday. It was at about my 73rd hour of work that week. A manager walked right up to me while I wasTroubleshooting cables and said, "Remember, this isn't a career." He then smerked and walked away. This was as close to a slap in the face for working so hard, and working so many hours. I put in these amount of hours every week. The only other person who perfomed this way, was an engineer out of Boston. This guy was awesome by the way. Not all departments of Raytheon have ignorant people. Only the people at the El Paso Ft. Bliss facility engaged in this manner.

Excellent, up-to-date equipment and management. Government oversight is extensive and difficult at times.
