For profit company
Flight Nurse (Former Employee) –  OregonFebruary 3, 2018
Reach Air Medical is a for profit company and it shows working there. This is a company that puts a priority on profit. The protocols are ALS at best. The equipment is decades old, monitors, vents, c-Mac, etc. The clinical system is a ALS protocol driven model and not gideline based. This is a pilot driven system and the most of the pilots are cool to work with with excellent skills. Work here as a pilot, they love it. If you just want to fly and work in air medical it’s not bad but if clinical is your focus and you want a expanded scope look elsewhere. Also the mangtment is a one star. The mangtment is conservative and shows political opinions in the workplace. Schedule ok, 24 hour shifts.

EMS Base Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) –  Buena Vista, ColoradoJuly 25, 2017
I have a long history with REACH Air Medical Services dating back to 2001 when I was hired as Chief Inspector. It is a company that is worth looking into if you want to learn and grow in the exciting field of emergency medical air transport.

Not what it seems
RN (Former Employee) –  OregonApril 20, 2017
REACH does a great job of marketing. Beyond that, they are a poor company. Good ol boy network. Lies, deception, bullying, harassment run rampant....
Pros
Pay, benefits, hours
Cons
Unqualified managers, lies, bullying, clueless to actual air medical care.

Great Place to Work!
Marketing & Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Santa Rosa, CADecember 13, 2016
Each and every hour of each and every day, the people of REACH are alert for the call that can mean saving a life. A premature baby weighing just two pounds needs transport to specialized care 100 miles away. An accident victim whose survival depends on timing and skill gratefully hears the helicopter arriving. Whoever the person, whatever the location, no matter the injury or illness, the people of REACH are on the way

Great coworkers and management
Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) –  Santa Rosa, CAFebruary 19, 2015
Really like the job, just leaving to be closer to my elderly parents. Cost of housing in the bay area is high, wages are decent but California bleeds you every chance they get. Weather is fantastic and lots to do in the area.
Pros
Great coworkers and management. very good work environment
Cons
cost of living in california

Great Experience
Flight Nurse (Current Employee) –  StocktonAugust 29, 2013
I have very much enjoyed the experience I have obtained working for REACH. Not only does this job introduce nurses to the prehospital environment, but this company does fantastic with educating and preparing nurses for the EMS world. I wouldn't trade my time working here for anything.
