Productive place to work

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Working here has been a really fun experience, everyone is very welcoming. Productivity is a bit slow at first but work really picks up quickly. Management has been very helpful with getting started and making sure I knew who I was meant to contact if I ever needed something.

Pros

Friendly environment, collaborative environment

Cons

Short breaks

A good working environment and a great learning place.

Reach Out has given me the opportunity to support my Latino community in ways that wouldn’t have been possible in another place. Since the begging I have been flooded with learning opportunities and encouraged by my supervisor to take advantage of them.My opinions and suggestions are taken seriously and I am always part of the discussion/conversation.

Pros

Great work environment.

Cons

A lot of last minute tasks

Productive and workplace helping communities

A typical day at work will differentiate on the day and what you have planned on your calendar. It may consist of meetings, workshops, training, tabling at an event, or simply helping other departments in the office. Employees are constantly learning and growing because we have to stay informed about various topics to help others. Management is extremely helpful and understanding about everything. They want to ensure everyone is respected, heard, and seen. Between management and the work, this makes for a fun work environment. The workplace culture is very diverse unlike other jobs. The most enjoyable part of the job is really helping people in the community and opportunities. The hardest part of the job is getting familiarize with certain systems in place and remembering (demos, invoice, mileage forms, etc.).

Pros

Some pros are that employees are constantly learning through training about various topics, participate in community meetings, and cool workshop to attend.

Cons

Some cons would be working events, driving to sites, and working later in the evening if you mind that and getting used to the computer software.

Stable Employment

Reach out has given me to grow and develop my professional skills. It's also a great atmosphere to work in, a lot of employees help each other out. Also, it feels like a stable place to be in and not feel like you can lose your job at any moment.

Pros

Holiday's off and extra days as well.

Cons

a lot of last-minute tasks that need to be completed.

Fulfilling place to work

I enjoyed working at Reach Out. I loved that I got to serve the community and work closely with other coworkers that have the same desire to help others as me. Things do get really busy, but time goes by so fast. I’m leaving for personal reasons but hope to be able to reconnect with Reach Out again one day.

Pros

Great benefits

Cons

Very busy

They micro-manage and feels like they dont trust you. Management is very dismissive when workers shares feelings of stress or burnout. Management makes it almost impossible to get PTO. They are very unreasonable.

Management, hard to get PTO
