Business Development Manager (Former Employee) – Westwood, MO – May 31, 2018
Startup that has grown significantly. They are still trying to figure out how to manage all the new people. They really empower their employees with very loose management which actually turned into a negative as people could get by doing the bare minimum. They need to have more defined goals, better management and a variety of different tasks that employees can do each day so they don't get annoyed of performing repetitive tasks. Overall, a good company but they have a lot to figure out moving forward.

Red Nova typically does 2 phone screenings before an interview, but they were so impressed with my portfolio that they offered me a chance to come in right away. The room was full of people who would rather look at their laptops than at my work or what I was saying, and the CEO was late.
When they sent my rejection letter they cited that I was 'not a good cultural fit' in a very offensive tone.
I think being voted 'best place to work' in KC has gone a bit to their heads.
