Opportunity to make communities have a enjoyable experience, and offer great hospitality.
In my experience, crazy.
It depends from location to location, and at the time you're working. During the school year, usually hours are trimmed a bit for part timers. During the summer and breaks? We saw employees regularly hitting 30+ hours. The actual hours you'd work (as in what times) vary from location to location as well, and are usually not the greatest since operating hours are kinda rough- but you can speak to your GM about working around your schedule as works best for you.
How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Regal Entertainment Group? What are the steps along the way?
1 week, interview and first day coaching
Lazy staff members, consistently sacrificing my weekends, hour closings are getting more late - why are there 10:50pm, 10:55pm, etc when you know people on staff ends up leaving at 2 in the morning waiting for the movies to end to close out the day. The fact that this job is always open 365 days a year - you only luck out if there's a bad weather issue (mind you, minor weather related like something that may close down schools, banks and gov't offices). Issues that are beyond the control of the staff when it's really the company at fault (whether it's customer related or theater functions i.e. projection issues, network issues, etc.). The benefits suck - I personally don't live close to the theater to reap the 'benefits' as a part-time employee, and full-time benefits only apply to managers (which is usually 2-3 individuals)....So....I feel like I'm 'living' at my job - and the work goes home with me.
I filled out an application. Got a call back exactly a month later tho, but was still in need of a job so I accepted the interview. It was a group interview which I was not made aware of. 8 of us in a group. Manager asked a question and we went around and answered . Afterwards she explained the uniform, pay and benefits, and then took us into her personal office individually. I was hired on the spot and started orientation 2 days later.
I loved my supervisors. You won’t find better leaders anywhere! I learned so much at Regal and would recommend it to anyone - phenomenal community.
