i feel that there is a disconnect from management and the floor employees that needs to be bridged by spreading more positivity and recognition for the great things that do happen out on the floor.

When they say the build boats they mean it. Human error aside the work feels meaningful. You get to see your work roll out the door and await a customer to enjoy. The pay is good and they expect quality work for it. The bad, long days and sometimes you don't have work for a few hours. They expect you to be able to flex into other areas as needed.

It's a place of employment to get you by until you find something better. The management has no ability to function properly and seems to always be throwing each other under the bus when it comes to issues. About half the employees are felons and make it difficult for advancement due to drama they create and management appears to promote this behavior in the workplace as well as reward it. The management is also willing to make promises or even contracts and fail to hold their end of the deal. Very poor place to work, it will drag you down.

Spent 8years of my life there. Watched management run off the best help. The ones that work everyday, make it to work early and do good work are the ones who get punished. While the ones with the low skills and lack productivity who complain about everything seem to be the ones who get rewarded. A lot of convicts work there. State pays half their wages so you know the their is some greed on the top end.

Renaissance Marine Group is a good company that you can have a career with. If you are dependable and have a good work ethic they will train you to your optimum potential and welcome you as part of the Renaissance family. For the most part the product we build will be used for fun. The boats we build today will end up making some of the fondest memories the owners family will have and in many cases for multiple generations. I take care of the warranty issues for the company. It is nice to work for a company that you don't have to apologize for. In most cases they allow me to go above and beyond what the written warranty will cover to make sure our customers are taken care of like we would want to be taken care of as a customer.
