terrible place to work with no opportunity for advancement
Customer Account Manager (Current Employee) – Memphis, TN – December 9, 2015
a typical day at work includes being bombarded with work that is put on a daily delivery planner. once you do all the work on the delivery planner you may end up having more work to do that was not on the daily delivery planner because your supervisor has made a promise to a customer that he didn't tell you about or he has just forgotten to put it on the planner. you have to call grown people and try to get them to pay for sub par merchandise. you may get cursed out by these customers, no matter if you are nice to them or not. they will talk crazy to you because they haven't paid their bill like it is your fault that they haven't paid. your supervisors don't see you as anything but an expendable piece of machinery to be used and put away as they see fit. the hardest part of the job is trying to fit French door refrigerators in a duplex in the worst part of town. the coworkers are alright, it is just the supervisors that you have to watch out for because as I said they do not care about you or your wellbeing, they only want you to make as many deliveries as they can squeeze out of you. I have learned that the only way to advance your career with Rent-A-Center is to not work for Rent-A-Center.
the entire experience is a con
