fun place to work, hard to get noticed
Customer Receiving / translator (Current Employee) –  Secaucus, NJMay 6, 2018
The culture of this company is great and everyone I work with is amazing. The only issue is that RTR has so many employees that is hard to get noticed when you are doing an excellent job.

Great work experience. This was the first time I worked quality control with clothes as the merchandise and management and co worker helped learn the tasks very quickly. The work is a lot but music helps to get through the day.

See how it works for you, room for growth but roles are not very clear. The company is constantly changing so you need to be able to roll with the punches.

Horrible Management
Walk In Stylist (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILFebruary 8, 2018
Do not work here. Management makes the atmosphere toxic and they are very passive aggressive. They hire people telling them they’ll be on the Appointment team then force them to do walk ins (harder job). They treat employees like children and you’ll be way underpaid for giving your life to them. The schedule is done maybe a few days ahead of time so you can’t make plans. They overwork you, underpay you, and everything they say is ridiculous and degrading.
Pros
Company Discount
Cons
Management, pay, no benefits, overworked, bad atmosphere

Not a bad work environment but not the best
Communications Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJanuary 9, 2018
Work scheduled can range from 8 am to 11 pm. There is no work/life balance. You will spend 90% of your time in office. Management is catty and very unfair. All is based on favoritism.
Pros
Free bagels on Fridays, coffee and occasional snacks
Cons
Catty mean managers, cant request time off without being given a hard time.

Operations & Customer Experience Manager (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAJanuary 9, 2018
A great place to work and gain experience in fashion and operations. However, they would need to open more locations to advance further in the company. Corporate offices are located in New York.
Pros
Fast-paced, high traffic, every day is different
Cons
Poor compensation

Fun if this isn’t a job you want to take seriously
Stylist (Former Employee) –  Georgetown, DCJanuary 8, 2018
There is no career advancement here. Poor top management and store management. Headquarters often sends customers damaged items and are not reliable with sending products on time. Company has potential but with the current operations model it is not likely they will be around years to come.

RTR has the potential to be a great company however poor management and lack of compassion will steer the company in the wrong direction. Pay your employees better.

Great Place to work for someone young
Online Stylist (Former Employee) –  Secaucus, NJDecember 18, 2017
I believe that this company has a great corporate culture, but I believe that it is meant for young people. There isn't much advancement within the company but the people are wonderful and the long hours aren't bad at all.

RTR helped me develop into management by offering classes on how to better oneself. Also with frequent changes in procedures, I was able to gain knowledge in different aspects of RTR.
