DRIVER/DRIVER'S HELPER (Former Employee) –  Grand Prairie, TXMay 18, 2018
I learned so much so quickly. The employees that work here are amazing. They brought me in and trained me to get my class B license so I could become a driver.

Unsatisfactory Work/Life Balance
Former Manager (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 4, 2018
RNDC does not foster work/life balance; they may say the do, but they really don't. There is too much work and too many projects for a fast-growing company of it's size and staff is not provided with the tools they need to complete the work.
Pros
Decent Pay & Benefits
Cons
Too Paternalistic and not in a good way

Hard work, very little payoff
NA (Current Employee) –  RNDCMay 4, 2018
Managers don't listen to their employees, they think they know everything. Management does not care about improving the job place or environment. People only get management positions by who you know, not what you know or how well your job is done. Most managers at RNDC wouldn't be hired for a management at any other company.

Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) –  Littleton, COApril 26, 2018
This place is and extremely hard place to work. The job is very physical and extremely fast paced. There are only male employees in the warehouse that act like a bunch of high school kids. Management doesn't know how to keep their mouths shut about private information. During holiday weeks youll be lucky if you get more then 10 hours of sleep all week.

sometimes free gifts and meals

Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLApril 20, 2018
It got hard when the company lost strong distribution brands, commission last 2 years went down and the company lowered commission percentage as well, so you had to sell twice as much and stock twice as much to make same money you did before.
Pros
Good team effort
Cons
brand power and lower comission

Stay away if you have a Degree. Underpaid
TERRITORY SALES MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXApril 19, 2018
Do not work here if you have a college degree. They do not give raises. They do not believe in good evaluations. Their policy is to always give a 3 out of 5 on evaluations to protect themselves. Very tribal there. Only pretty ladies advance fast. Guys who hang out with managers advance as well. Its a trap bc at first its fun, then you find out you will never make more than 46k no matter how hard you work.

Free wine

Lacks Diversity and respect

Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Baltimore, MDApril 18, 2018
RNDC is an amazing place to work. Everyone works as a team and it was an honor to be a team member. My manager worked so hard for our team to make sure we achieved all of our goals.

As in all sales jobs its about your commitment to your customers and representing your employer professionally at all times.

Combo Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Warren, MIApril 13, 2018
It's a great place to grow your personal and professional development. You'll typically work 8:30-5. Must be organized and pay close attention to detail. If you can do those two things, you will thrive with this company.
Pros
You're selling alcohol...

Stepping stone for something better
Outside Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  LouisianaApril 12, 2018
This was once a career, it is now an entry level position. If you are fresh out of college with zero experience this is the job for you. If you want to actually pay your bills and not live at mommy's house, run far away from this place. Brands are being lost left and right, nothing is done to compensate lost commissions.
The environment is toxic.Upper management does not seem to care about the divide amongst the sales reps. Upper management sleeps around with their subordinates.
You are practically on call 24/7, but there is no allowance for your cell.
Be expected to show up to last minute events or functions. P.S., I have a life outside I work is not an acceptable excuse.
I hope you head this advice and run far away from this place!

Merchandiser (Current Employee) –  San Antonio, TXApril 10, 2018
Good benefits with decent pay. Management is very considerate of days off for illness or emergencies. HR and office staff are great at what they do. Just handle your business properly and everything will be alright.

It's not the worst place to work, but after a couple of years you will realize that the only way to move up in operations is to move to a different location.

Great for sales employees. Terrible for admin/corporate/office.
Office role (Former Employee) –  GeorgiaMarch 14, 2018
This is a great organization if you’re in sales. However, people who don’t start their careers at RNDC and accept an office/admin/corporate role will quickly discover that the majority of the company’s leadership are former sales employees. While this shows great upward mobility for sales associates, it’s concerning when you realize your finance and HR leadership have little to no experience in finance or HR. They simply hit their sales numbers consistently and wanted to work in an office instead of in the market. Because of this, this company is very far behind when compared to its peers or similar sized organizations. The majority of its leadership teams have minimal experience outside of wine and liquor sales. The vacation policy is also archaic. There’s no time off during the holidays for sales/operations, which is understandable given the industry. But for a company that cheers “family values!” at every opportunity, they should compensate with a better policy during slower times. The health insurance has only one option and it’s a very high deductible plan. It pays for next to nothing outside of basic checkups. If you get sick or have so much as a cavity, you will be emptying your pockets. If you have a family, hopefully you can get on your spouse’s policy.
Pros
Nice people, generally laid back environment
Cons
Outdated practices, “good old boys” mentality, below average benefits, political, bad vacation policy, preaches values it doesn’t follow

Delivery Driver (Current Employee) –  Schertz, TXMarch 5, 2018
Long days at work. Routing is not always the best. Management is very good as long as you get the job done. Great group of guys to work with. The wine and liquor gets very busy during the last month of the year, so prepare for extremely long days.

Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKMarch 5, 2018
The Oklahoma leadership at RNDC leaves much to be desired as far as work ethic, honesty, fairness, and integrity. Organization is lost and the turnover rate is relatively high compared with other distributors in the area.
