Fun and laid back workplace

Indeed Featured review

It could be an excellent opportunity for a starting career. I just wished the hourly pay was higher, but the bonus potential makes up for it on the backend as long as you meet your goals.

Good place to work

It is a good place to work the people are nice and easy to get along with. Management is great. Nice office. A typical day is making outbound calls and getting a few inbound calls from people who need to pay.

Best place to work

I worked for Hunter Warfield for 13 years. Each day was challenging, yet rewarding. They have a fantastic work culture and in my opinion, the best HR VP in the industry. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in advancing their career opportunities.

Good place to work

I loved to work in HWI, the team was good, the Manager was good, had the flexibility in work, and had a lot of chances to learn As most of the applications were the internal purpose, I had a lot of chances to work with the team directly which helped me in gathering requirements

Are you a seasoned sales rep?

If you have sales experience of more than a few yrs, read below... Positives: not micro managed at all. You can come and go as you want, and the office area is very beautiful with tons of trees to go on walks on breaks, or whenever you feel like it. If you feel like taking more than an hr at lunch(I worked out at the gym across the st, the VP of sales won’t say anything)...Most people are nice here, but definitely some bizarre people in the company , and overall, it’s a very non-health conscious place at all! I could say a lot more, but will hold off.. They have a pretty good break room with food to purchase and a video game and big screen tv. They do also a lot of things , like every October is month of fun, with activities outside and ways to win PTO and gift cards. Negatives: didn’t have a manager of the sales department for my last five months of working there , as the guy who hired me, got fired. I noticed for the size of the company (small) there is a awful lot of meetings. Most are totally unnecessary. The management team also is constantly in meetings, the VP of sales, is hard to talk to because he is constantly in meetings. The quota is unobtainable, to many reasons to list why...the main is ; these properly management companies you sell to already have collections in place(another agency, attorney, etc), and it’s not big enough problem for them to change what they do, so it’s almost impossible to over come there objection that they “are happy”... Only one person out of three of us made quota , in my year of working here. You have KPI metrics to obtain, -

Not micro managed

Stressful but worth it

Had goals to reach and very stressful to make your goal. Reaching your goal you had commissions and made things worth it. You had investigate all of your debtors and had 30 days to resolve accounts assigned to you if not resolved they will get assigned to a different collector.

Amazing company

I worked at Hunter Warfield for two years as a collections rep. This is not your average collections job trust me. Due to my spouses military orders I had to relocate and I haven't found a company like it since. This is the most amazing company I have ever worked for. Excellent HR dept., Management is professional yet caring, and the rest of the staff is literally a huge family! This is a great place to grow and retire.

Great Place to work

Hunter Warfield is an excellent place to work. The company's attentiveness to employee morale and general welfare is second to none. Throughout the year, the firm provides several opportunities to participate in community/team-building activities. Additionally, the company organizes a number of parties including an entire "month of fun," in which employees play games and win prizes. Hunter Warfield demands consistent individual improvement from its employees. This expectation of excellence can be stressful, if one's time is not properly managed. Managers require tangible results and deadlines to be met. Those who are not capable or do not desire to work hard will not thrive in this environment. However, if you're willing to put the time in and can deliver favorable numbers, the company will be more than fair in compensating you.

Pros

Excellent culture.

Cons

Demanding work may not be for everyone.
