Great question! We have just rolled out a new recruiting process that now involves several steps but our hope is that this will allow both Rev Hoopes and the candidate to make a much more educated decision. Every job is not a perfect fit for every person so we hope the longer process will help us find out whether or not we are a match! The process would generally start with a candidate applying, there would then be a phone interview, there would be an in person interview, in some cases there would be an assessment and then we would decide if additional steps are needed before making a decision. If a candidate is chosen, they would receive a conditional offer and take a drug test and road test (drivers) along with a background check. If everything pans out, the new hire is scheduled for a 2 hour orientation. If I had to average the timespan from apply to offer, it is generally about a week. We reach out to schedule the next step within 24 hours of the last step. We want to be fast but we also want to be thorough because that is in both our best interests.
