When i worked there i love the clients but the people and staff not so much it is a bad place to work
It is different for everyone. It is all what you make it.
The culture of this company is all about the bottom line, NOT the clients! To fill beds, they accept the most inappropriate and destructive people out there without considering the vulnerable people who have lived there for years. Very sad!
You will work in a residential environment,or you will take them to work and coach them in a commercial environment.

The work life is hectic, staff constantly gossips about one another (including the higher authorities) I've see mistreatment of the clients and also staff. They higher whomever will be willing to work for a pay check. Those people show no compassion for the clients.

Care for the mentally challenged. you have to be very observant to make sure the client are safe, observant of their moods, well being.to inspire them that they can do things for themselves with supervision. Clients are taken to what called the day center, Monday thru Friday where they are taught the basic reading, writing, abc's, counting, and being self sufficient.
