The pay is horrible for what is expected of you. The owner got mad every time you didn't drop and run for her. The job is a part time job at best as the hours are all over the place and if you don't mind two hour shifts in the middle of the day and you can't count on any real hours then go for it. Wasn't worth the gas it took to drive to most of the jobs.

Did not have to wear uniform, recommended to wear jeans or scrubs as caregiver will be using clients cleaning supplies (bleach) to clean home. handbook said no shorts, then i was given another stack of papers to read that said knee length shorts are ok, then in the interview the lady said absolutly no shorts!

In dsm IA, my first "interview" i was told you get paid 54 cents a mile while driving client for errands UP TO 15 miles, anymore than that you get nothing. You do not get paid for driving to the first clients house or driving home from the clients house. During my orientation another lady came in with an updated paper saying it changed to 44 cents a mile for 20 miles...
Also you get 30 minutes to drive in between clients home and you get $4 for that. But i saw something that you get $2 if it takes 15 mins or $4 if 30 mins

I applied and got a call for an interview 5 minutes later. Came in the next day. It was 2 ladies in a office. One took me to the back and just told me a lot of what the job is like. Did not ask any interview like questions. Did not mention how much i'd get paid. Did not tell me the rest of the hiring process. Filled out basically another application on paper like the same one is online. Didn't make since to me because I already did this online. Then ss # and bday so they can do a background check and they would call me within 2 days. Also I got asked how much i want to work, i said full time like 40 hrs a week and she said that i might get less then that. After getting hired i was given about 14 hrs a week... not good. Lady was very nice on the first phone call and interview- in dsm iowa

They did no drug test or any kind of testing, only background check

At Right at Home of Salt Lake Utah we pay the online fee from the Health Dept of approx $54.00 for a background test, then as a employee if we need to send you to get your required live scan we send you to the lowest place closest to you. Ranges $12 to $25. If you have not had a TB test with in last 6 mos before hire then we are required by law to send you for a TB test and it can be around $10-$15 with no insurance. You do not have to pay for your own driving record with us.
