Emotionally Draining
Written by Help Desk Technician (Former Employee) from Jonesboro, AR on June 4, 2018
Overall, the work there is easy enough that anyone with or without a tech background can accomplish. A majority of the work at Help Desk is walking customers through basic steps of troubleshooting. Powering devices off and back on, checking remote batteries, and checking cabling. The customers will beat you down on a regular basis, though. They are - more ... some of the rudest and most inconsiderate people. It becomes emotionally draining after getting an entire day of angry customers, because they can't see their favorite TV station for 5 minutes out of the day. - less
ProsFriendly work atmosphere within the department.
