I advise everyone take head before applying to positions at this facility. Things you get told in the onboarding are not what’s it like on the floor. Staffing is always short which causes safety issues to arise.

Every day is different and I enjoy that about this job. For me it's more of an "calling" and you must love what you do in this field of work. My typical day begins at 0645-1915. We have quite a few admissions however, this is psch and unfortunately their are numerous of individuals that need/seek help.

Patients are not a priority to management, tech safety is not a priority. Very high staff turn over ratio. Management changes a lot. The staff ratio to patients is never what it should be which causes a dangerous environment.

Don’t do it. I was so proud to work here at first and then reality set in. I would say that if you have a better opportunity somewhere else, please go there, even if that company is offering less. Not only is the management horrible, but you will not be compensated like you should be for the work you do, no matter how good or hard of a worker you are. All they care about is metrics and patient census. As long as you get them patients, they could care less about your work ethic. You will be over worked and under paid. Management is untrustworthy and unreliable. There is zero support. People quitting left and right. Depending on where you work, employees are often rude and rushed. The rules/pay/requirements change monthly. If you’re looking to get experience and just want to get your foot in the door, this would be a good place to start, but not stay, but please do your research.
Mental Health Technician in Riverdale, GA

Riverwoods is a place whose primary purpose is to make money. The acute unit is severely understaffed. Staff is often attacked by patients. Staff have little to no support from upper management. MHA's are over worked and overlooked. They are always blamed for patient behaviors.
