Workplace culture
Everyone is extremely friendly, family-orientated business and robco does take care of their own The Foreman's are great and I have definitely learned quite a bit from them

Very micro-managing atmosphere
The owner is very micro-managing. It's not a very comfortable environment. The office manager keeps track of the EXACT times you leave/return. They make you submit and report at the beginning of the week of your work load. And a follow up at the end of the week to ensure you met the expectations.

What I learned and work environment
While working at Robco Electric, I learned how to size and design a Solar PV system. I typically worked 55-60 hours per week and made a very good income. The most enjoyable part of the job was to be able to help customers eliminate or greatly reduce their electric bills thru the use of a solar photovoltaic system. I met a lot of wonderful people and actually had a great impact on their monthly budget. Unfortunately, NV Energy changed the rules and fees of customers who owned a solar system. As a result, 99% of the jobs in Solar were eliminated in NV.

Good starting point for a career in renewable energy
I liked working here just wish the pay was a little higher but overall its a great company to work for. The managers are understanding and if you want to go to school to be an electrician they will pay for your tuition.
