If you are hired part time, then go full time and they then ask for you to do a drug test; will you get a "second chance" or will therte be any understanding in regards to the legal use of drugs? Specifically THC was used in a state where and when it was legal before I accepted the offer. No request for a drug test was made prior to accepting the position and working it for a few shifts, which I believe is illegal in my state so i'm hoping for some sort of reasonable compromise.

  • Technically it doesn't matter if weed is legal or not. Alcohol is legal yet you cannot go to work under the influence. Unless you have a medical marijuana card and prescription for its use then I think if its the companies policy that you don't have drugs in your system you should abide by the rule.

  • I am unable to answer to this type of situation. I do not use substances that would cause me to fail a drug test. I am able to take, and pass, a drug test at any time.
