RVCP is truly helping our clients transition and improve their lives. I love the collaboration, problem solving, and absolutely supportive environment. Working with this population can be stressful, but it is well worth it when you get to help people that society has shunned. The under served and unwanted in our community, they need compassion, understanding, and empathy.

RVCP is constantly trying to improve in any area it can. Trauma Informed Care and Evidence Based Practices are what the goals are. Employees get lots of paid time off, support, encouragement, and opportunities for advancement.

Stressful, yes. Worth it, yes.

I love being part of a company that wants to help those many in society would like to write off and ignore.

Cons
Can be stressful at times. The clientele can be very challenging.

Horrible, what you see on the surface is not real.

RVCP- RRP Directors all the way to Eggers are ran by nepotism. You will advance if you have a family member that works there. They gossip and back stab people terrible. They speak horribly about clients behind closed doors- this is supposed to be a treatment program. The DOC and FBOP needs to really look into the mens rea of the people in power. Harpers Directors are the very best people, the other programs could learn a few things from them.
Cons
Micro management, poor boundaries. Everbody is sleeping with eachother.

A good entry level position with ways to advance. Fullfilling job in seeing successful individuals transitioning back into the community.
Resident accountability (Current Employee) –  Janesville, WIMay 25, 2017
A typical work day involves team work; helping others staff members to fulfill the job duties. Completing accountability tasks throughout the building and ensuring accountability for the clients. Providing transportation, assistance, giving feed back and redirecting clients. Staff is also responsible for completing busy work as well, conducting BA's and UA's, paperwork among other duties. I have been fortunate to learn specific criminal justice related information from working at RVCP. Understanding the policies of this occupation, learning more regarding PREA among other related compliance involving the clients that is served at RVCP.

Management is firm in their decisions, and willing to give opportunities to less skilled applicants. The culture is know to have a specific flow and opportunities to advance are more often available. I would say the most difficult part of the job is being in an environment in which some individuals are unable to separate their professional and personal relationships. The most enjoyable part is interacting with the clients in a positive manner, promoting encouragement and helping them in their road towards transitioning back into the community.
