This depends on your experience level. If you're an experienced truck driver, you could submit an application and start the following week. If you're an owner operator, you probably will take more time to make the transition. Inexperienced truck drivers and people who want to be paid while they get their CDLs take a bit longer because of certain requirements before employment. No matter what, you'll want to at least connect with Roehl and start the application process. You can do so by applying online here: https://goo.gl/Ydwcq1

It really depends on the division and fleet you are on. It's also important to note that Roehl pays practical route mileage, so you're paid for more of the miles you actually drive. This equates to about 5-8% more pay. Plus, Roehl's Your Choice Pay Plan empowers you to get a get a raise each quarter up to the top rate so you're not waiting for annual increases. We value our teammates and do reward our teammates for longevity. We specifically designed our driver pay plan (the Your Choice Pay Plan) to reward the most productive drivers. Drivers do not have to wait for an annual increase; instead, our driving teammates can get an increase each quarter up to our top rate. This is a performance-based pay plan.

Roehl could send you to CA if you live in Florida, however that is an unlikely run because most of our freight is east of I-35. To see all the fleets available in Florida, please visit this URL:

Then, select a fleet to see the hiring area and to understand where you'll drive and other specifics of interest.

Yes. DOT physical & Drug test

Our industry is regulated by the federal government and requires drivers to be physically certified by a DOT approved physician.

It's important to note that the drug testing includes both urine and hair follicle tests.

Use these tips for your physical and drug tests:

Disclose prior conditions, injuries, surgeries, etc. on the medical form. Read and follow instructions carefully.
Disclose any prescription medications you are currently taking and the condition they were prescribed for. Certain questions will require you to also disclose past conditions and medications taken.
The information you provide on the medical form must be complete and accurate.
You must be able to provide samples for the urine and hair follicle tests.
