Only advise is to enforce a no drama policy.

Its not always about personality with good employees, some of the employees that you like and promote to positions are actually difficult to work with on floor but they know how to smile and act friendly to your face. Should take into account seniority, call offs, tardiness, and complaints from elders and coworkers before promoting. Stop changing hours on a whim, workers have obligations outside of there and cant keep adjusting to your trials and then you push them out the door for not being able to change the hours you hired them for.
