RTG has the worst company culture I’ve ever seen in a company with respect to its drivers. They force the drivers to carry $10 million in coverage. That’s $180 a week in insurance taken out of your check. Your deductible is $2500. They take $100 a week for a bond until it reaches $2k for shuttle drivers and $4k for home delivery drivers. For shuttle drivers they pay $1.25 per mile but nothing for unloading the trailers. They only pay $.06 cents per mile fuel surcharge and eliminate it when fuel cost drop. They will push all drivers constantly to work over there DOT hours. There is no accountability accept towards the drivers. The trucks are ancient high mileage trucks, if you decided to lease. The trucks have been leased over and over. There are no benefits. RTG aka Southeast Independent Delivery Service Inc doesn’t care about the drivers. You are all expendable. Highest turnover I’ve seen in any job I’ve ever held. Avoid at all cost.
