A typical day at work is fast paced and should be able to multi task. Majority of the time Front Desk Agent is first point of contact for requests, and needs to delegate to appropriate departments. Many times there is discrepancies in management attitude, with little improvement.
The hardest part of the job is learning to multi task between; answering phone calls, doing daily tasks, check ins and check outs, handling requests, and escorting guests to rooms.
The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to know guests and creating an environment that makes them feel at home.
