Work & Life Balance

Cash Office Associate/Customer Service in Ashburn, VA
on January 23, 2013
Fun place to work but management was terrible
I would come in and count the drawers from the previous night. Order money for the week. Count the safe and do deposits. I also did product replenishment and inventory loss prevention. Recovery was done at the end of every night and the store cleaned before anyone could leave. The management was not organized and many times we were short handed due to people calling in and no one coming in to replace them. Co-workers didnt like the job but we loved each other. The most enjoyable was the customer service counter. I got to work with the best we had there and help implement new Operation procedures.

I’ve been at this job for 3 years and you di recover a bonus every year but it’s only a couple cents. Been there for 3 years and my pay went from 11 to 11.65 from my last year there. The workload is too much to get next to nothing.

Low pay and no enough benefits. Always understaffed and employees are stretched thin to other departments because there is not enough staff.Management is rude and talk down to employees. Customers are always right and no protection for employees. Not flexible with employees in case of family emergencies.

They expect the most and don’t even pay more than a gas station upper management is rude and disrespects the people under them. Extreme micromanaging as well
Sales Associate in Orlando, FL

The only good thing I can say about Ross is the pay. I was left unattended after being poorly trained as the sole cashier for long lines of customers nearly every day. I was not taught how to answer the phone, properly organize merchandise, and many other things. I said I could work Monday through Saturday and they put me on Sundays. The manager came in whenever he wanted and multiple team members talked poorly about him when he wasn't there. Some team members were kind and helpful others not so much so the culture really depends on your individual workplace.
