Able to work independently. Associates are easy to work with, loved working from home. Seemed to always be work. Very few team meetings and again, independently required to keep up to date on policy and procedure changes.

Poor management starting from the very top
Loan Processor (Former Employee) –  FloridaApril 24, 2018
Overall, Robert Palmer has the right idea but the people running his company lack professionalism and management skills. Policies are always changing. There is conflict of interest throughout the office. The pay is low compared to other lenders. There is no such thing as annual reviews. If you must work here, use it for the experience and get yourself a better job. You will be stuck with the same pay and same position in this company.
Pros
Free Snacks and sometimes (rarely) raffles for event tickets

Hostile Work Environment
Processor (Former Employee) –  Maitland, FLApril 23, 2018
The company is lacking quality management. Management wants you to be fearful of losing your job and discourages rather than build you up. Every processor is paid the same regardless of experience or tenure. No loyalty to the employees and the try to put you against each other by creating unfair contests for a pitiful bonus. There are many troublemakers who will create lies and throw you under the bus just to become a manager’s pet. My opinion is to run as fast as you can from this Company because we all deserve better.
Pros
Nice building to work in.
Cons
Everything.

Loan Originator (Current Employee) –  Maitland, FLApril 9, 2018
Fast paced environment. Phones are always ringing.

Potential to make a great income as a loan originator. Best part is the fact that we don't have to cold calls or network with Realtors to get business.
Pros
Plenty of leads
Cons
Required to be inhouse Mon- Fri

Employees not treated equally
Personal Processor (Current Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLMarch 12, 2018
RP Funding pays their processors the same across the board. However, many processors do not have to do purchases but have the same monthly goals as those who do purchases. Monetary rewards are given out monthly to the loan processor with the most closed loans. Purchases are a lot more complicated than refinances and more time consuming. If you are a processor you need to have knowledge of purchases and refinances. If one processor does only refinances then they should not be paid as much as processors who do a lot more than purchases.

Processor (Former Employee) –  Maitland, FLMarch 1, 2018
Great organization bad management, the COO hires all her family and favoritism is all over the company she is very unprofessional, no maternity leaves no 401K match terrible benefits all together.

The processing department has no management skills there’s no training or career opportunity because management thinks you’re stupid and don’t know anything. Every loan is a rush loan because sales department only focus on the next loan all submitted loans are suspended by underwriting.
Pros
Relaxing job
Cons
Poor management and pay

Appraisal Specialist (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLFebruary 17, 2018
I was thrown into my position with no training or prior mortgage experience. Management was practically nonexistent as she was always "working from home", on vacation or in her office with her door shut. There was no work life balance and I regularly worked 8am-8pm, sometimes weekends. The only good thing about this company is that they offered free breakfast and always celebrated your birthday.
Pros
free breakfast, celebrated birthdays

long hours, no training

It's a great place to work if you don't mind a lot of pressure and stern management. The work is very fast pace with high demands to produce but you get to work with some great people, professionally and personally.
Pros
Free snacks, bonuses, great location

Poor management, low pay with little bonus structure, no health benefits or maternity leave
Mortgage Loan Processor (Current Employee) –  MaitlandDecember 1, 2016
RP Funding offers no training for it's associates while requiring associates to "find their way" with little or no management assistance. They offer sick and vacation that must be accrued, however sick time is only paid with a Dr's note. They offer no maternity leave. The bonus structure is non existent and impossible to achieve. The benefits they offer are extremly expensive with high deductibles. Upper management holds production meetings with staff while screaming and use of profanity is used to "get the job done". Their expectations of closing loans in 10 days with their underwriting staff is physically impossible. All RP Funding cares about is closing loans quickly with poor attention to detail and total lack of employee support or appreciation or any work/life balance.
Pros
Cereal Bar, Fountain drink machine
Cons
No Benefits, poor management, lack of pay and bonus, no loyalty to employees which performs their day to day business

Pro; The phones never stop ringing. Con; Bad for families.
Loan Originator (Former Employee) –  Maitland, FLNovember 7, 2016
Not good for families, especially single parents. Mandatory hours for Originators from 9am to 6pm. Most Saturdays also. RP Funding is clear and upfront with this requirement.

Office is dated and very dirty, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Cockroaches in the kitchen, pad locks on kitchen cabinet doors. Foul community bathrooms. Must leave the floor (and building) to find clean and properly stocked facilities.

The firewall between origination and processing make it very hard to create raving fans. Loan Officers are explicitly told to forget a borrowers name once the loan is submitted. Processors are expected to handle client communications after the loan is submitted and locked.

The phones never stop ringing, and with a positive attitude, income can be good for those who can work the mandatory schedule (50+ hours per week avg) and prefer not to market or work P2P.
Pros
Phones always ring.
Cons
Mandatory 6pm clock out time, no work life balance.

As most new starting company it needs improvement for better benefits package. Job promotions are based on position appointed instead of earned or applying for it. Management is concentrated in production instead of motivation strategies.
