In 1993, a few friends opened up a little shop in Seattle where early grunge icons got their hair cut, shared music and art, and drank beer. Since then, Rudy’s has grown up a bit—in size, shop count, and attitude. Some things haven’t changed: we believe that everybody is welcome, that everybody should be empowered to do what they love, and have fun doing it. Some things have: we no longer offer tattoos, we’re up to a total of 20 shops, and we’re more focused than ever.

Rudy’s legacy is built on the craftsmanship of our stylists and barbers, who work passionately every day to cut, color, and connect. Rudy's also curates its own line of personal care products developed in-house by highly experienced cosmetology and retail professionals. We hire talented, diverse people with interesting lives. Does your band go on tour? Are you raising a kid? Raising a dog? More of a Netflix person? Good. At Rudy’s, you’ll enjoy things like flexible scheduling, paid sick time, paid in house education, six-hour shifts, app-scheduled appointments, and health insurance—whether you’re a receptionist, a shop manager, or a stylist on the rise.

Great people/management, inadequate compensation

I really liked working at Rudys! The stylists are professional, kind, and great people. Management was helpful, supportive, and kind. My only reason for leaving being not being provided a livable wage and/or more than 15 hours a week. Great culture, sadly not great pay.
