Middle school students out of control
teacher (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAApril 9, 2019
Middle school students that want to learn are held back by the behavior problems of the other students. Students are not held accountable for their behavior or their performance. No support from principal or the dean. Students did not respect the dean. Students do not follow expectations, very stressful.
Pros

21st Century Community Learning Program Director (Current Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAAugust 1, 2018
Russell Byers has a continuous stream of work and great environment for teachers and staff. They are continuously adding and renovating the school, which although may cause confusion, it increases overall morale.

Director of Special Education (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAAugust 8, 2017
At this time the leadership is unstable. There is no permanent Head of School (CEO). The Board is heavily involved in school procedures. The facility is gorgeous and the parents are highly involved.
Cons
Vision Benefits cover visits and glasses only once every two years, the health insurance includes a $30 co-pay for primary and $50 co-pay for specialists.

Teacher's Aide. Assisted assigned teacher (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAMay 25, 2015
A typical work day was spent helping the teacher plan activities, grade papers and tests. I didn't really interact with management and the teacher I worked with was wonderful. there was nothing hard about the job and the most enjoyable part is bonding with the children.
