Not the best place to work at
Teacher (Former Employee) –  RSM, Andover, MAJune 8, 2018
A family-and-friends company focused on profit. Parents, those who pay the money, are more important than students and teachers. Teachers are treated like slaves, constantly controlled with total lack of trust and respect, and they are paid only for the time spent in class, and not paid for preparation, for correcting quizzes, for constant e-mail communication with parents, for preparing report cards and recommendations, etc. The Math program is well done and may be very helpful to students who originally come with strong math skills and thinking, and it is a waste of time and money for those who struggle in school and come to RSM to improve their math skills. Bias, lack of professionalism, and rudeness are the norm at RSM.
Pros
Relatively well organized and good work materials
Cons
Not well paid for the amount of work teachers are asked to do, very stressful

Teacher + Office Administrator (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CAJune 2, 2018
Poor management, horrible work culture, low pay, DO NOT recommend. Management and headquarters tell lies to the teachers and customers. The curriculum is copied from other students books.

Math Teacher (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILFebruary 2, 2018
Management is rude, unprofessional and bussines oriented without any concern about kids. The parents don't know what is going on there. The curriculum is excelent but stuff is terrible.

Wonderful place to work
Teacher(part time) (Current Employee) –  San Jose, CADecember 16, 2017
The teachers staff is very supportive. You get to teach wonderful bright kids. Be aware Russian school program is very fast paced, compared to American Program, so it is important to make sure that each and every kid gets attention he or she needs.

The initial idea for creating it is honorable but at the end of the day is down to business. The parents have the saying to move a student up a level even if the student is not ready.

I was working part-time with given just 4 work hours per week, without any benefits. I really loved my director. Everybody were very friendly there. They have all programs ready to teach, and that's good. But they work on the weekends, which is very inconvenient if you have a family.

I had really good experience working with the students and the team. I like the curriculum and the approach that the school incorporates. I just had to quit the job because of our relocation to Chicago.

Math Tutor (Current Employee) –  Louisville, KYJune 22, 2015
Being a tutor at RSM is a lot different than being a tutor anywhere else, or freelance. Scheduling and management is a big responsibility here. It is set up with it's own curriculum so it actually involves a lot of teaching and teaching involving tasks.

Teacher of Mathematics (Current Employee) –  Lexington, MAJanuary 8, 2015
As an on-call and group tutor, I've had the opportunity to interact with many students, and really enjoy not only the process of explaining math concepts to students but also the challenge of understanding each student's unique learning style.
