Positive, quality coworkers. good management support
Solutions Architect Senior Principal (Former Employee) - Remote - December 9, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Team comradery, very accomplished coworkers with collegial attitudes. Focus on customer needs resulting in positive customer relationships. Commitment to supporting remote work. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Working on SAIC core programs was a very positive experience including exceptional management support. However, working with external teams from acquired/merged companies was difficult. As a SAIC employee transferred onto a recently acquired company's legacy program, I encountered resistance from the legacy team management. It made for a difficult work experience. Stick with SAIC core programs and will be fine.

Good workplace with low pay
Treasury Analyst (Former Employee) - Birmingham, MI - November 23, 2023
This company is ok, but the management team is not that good. Also they won’t pay you fairly compared with market prices. Management don’t respect employees

Good Benefits, Hard Work Environment
ISMC Jr. Networking Engineer (Former Employee) - Cookeville, TN - November 14, 2023
SAIC is a great place in the Cookeville region as it's honestly the only real big tech company in Cookeville. It allows people who are wanting to work on computers to have a local place to work at without having to drive to Nashville and Knoxville.
Pros
401k Health, Dental, and Vision Insurances, Decent-ish ability for job growth so long as you have a degree, Most federal holidays off, 96 hours starting vacation time
Cons
CEO is pretty bad, They're continuously taking away benefits, some management just completely treats you as nothing more than a number, cubicle environment with barely minimal lunch rooms, hard to get restroom breaks in as your constantly on the phone, they keep running LEAN which makes it super stressful.

My experience was not the best considering this was a contract position
Medical Coding Clerk (Former Employee) - Eglin AFB, FL - September 29, 2023
Company is not reliable at making employees aware of new bidding, Contract term length, lay offs, etc. Got laid off while on maternity leave plus out of work for 5-6 weeks during bidding session. Supervisor was not very knowledgeable of Company policies when it came to leave job descriptions (which changed frequently)
Pros
Good a schedule, nice co-workers, good pay
Cons
Healthcare, breaks, too many people to report to

Great culture and learning opportunity, lowball pay.
Web Developer (Current Employee) - United States - September 11, 2023
I've gotten to work on some interesting projects and learned quite a lot of skills. However, the knowledge requirements do not meet the salary range.

Horrible place, they don't care about you, no possibility of growth, government micro manages, no leadership
Warehouse Specialist (Former Employee) - Norfolk, VA - September 7, 2023
You will not do what you are hired for, you will do three different job titles and only get paid for one, they do not appreciate their employees. Too many micro managers.

No one cares
IT Help Desk Technician (Former Employee) - Norfolk, VA - August 30, 2023
Job is very fast pace, and training and education was very unorganized. Leaving you to learn everything on your own. Was terminated due to spouse being in labor after communicating that.

This wasn't the best but maybe it might work for someone else.
Ordnance Handler (Former Employee) - Indian Head, MD - August 22, 2023
Honestly I feel that it was several issues but I can't put it all in this message. I think it's some things that need to be corrected as far as leadership and with management. I only held this job for almost five months before being terminated. I choose not to go into the details but I didn't have job security.
Pros
I honestly didn't have any but maybe another person might find some in this position.
Cons
No PTO, heavy government oversight in everything and possibly the wrong individuals managing others.

Trainer/Instructor (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - August 22, 2023
I will stay neutral due to my general believe that if there is only negative things to say, it is better to remain silent. Overall the company is what it is

Great Place To Work
CAD Technician II (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - June 20, 2023
Great company to work for. Overall good benefits, great pay and I've had the privilege to work with some great people. The managers I've worked with have been good about helping me to advance my career, and when contracts are ending, have always made sure we had more work coming in so that we wouldn't worry about getting laid off.

Loved SAIC
Program Analyst, Principal (Former Employee) - Fayetteville, NC - June 1, 2023
It was a great place to be. The company as a whole is amazing to work for. The clients are sometimes really challenging. It's difficult to navigate the sometimes political nature of the government contractor world. The job is straightforward Project management, risk analysis, mitigation, execution, and Quality control.

Great Company, difficult contract
Systems Engineer (Current Employee) - Suffolk, VA - May 18, 2023
SAIC has amazing benefits and high pay, but the contract I worked was insane. Would definitely work for SAIC in the future, but will certainly be wary of the contract I would support.
