San Antonio has good benefits. I am not sure other departments. I heard complains about other departments and as well as our departments so I think it just depends on a person. I have no complaints on benefits and salaries, it was a better place to work when before I heard from other workers there that had been there for 25 years.

Management is good on all shifts-very flexible and helpful. Biggest problem is that the admit doctors treat nurses like we were treated 20-30 years ago. ER nurses have to take admit orders immediately no matter what they are doing. The doctors have yelled at me on the phone as well as they will hang up if you dont get to the phone fast enough. At times - more ... I could understand the doctor due to heavy accents, bad phone connections or they were falling asleep. It's just dangerous and condescending. - less
ProsUsually had equiptment needed to do my job
ConsI worked 3p-3a and did not usually get my breaks on that shift
