House a NO-KILL shelter.

Many of our best employees can not afford to remain an employee of SDHS. We give animals the best care we can, and our treatment of workers should be the same. $15 an hour as a base compensation is higher than most companies, but $15 and hour is widely agreed upon to be a living wage. If SDHS wants to be the exception in how shelter animals are treated, it should be the exception in how shelter employees are treated as well.
