Great for a first time job
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Daly City, CASeptember 7, 2018
It was a pretty easy job, not too stressful. Mainly cashier, stock and restock clothing/ merchandise, inventory, selling tickets and organizing store. They were very flexible with school schedule and open to give more hours if needed. Hardest part was trying to find new tasks to do because days would get slow during the off seasons. You do learn how to network and make connections with customers. This job will only allow you to grow so far within the company, but learning the basics and fundamentals of a job was very good.

Depends on multiple factors...
Key Holder (Current Employee) –  Palo Alto, CAMay 15, 2019
While this job is better than most, the Giants Dugout partnered with Fanatics is not really impressive, especially for trying to live in the bay area. Associates and Keyholders do not receive any benefits at all other than Sick Pay and while there is presumably lots of chances for advancement, there is not that feeling in the workplace due to it feels like no one beyond manager status seems willing to listen or improve the business.
Pros
Good Hours/shifts, ok pay, willing to work with availability
Cons
no benefits other than sick pay, hard to make a living, recommend a second job

Fun Workplace and Interesting Environment
Retail Sales Associate/Key Holder (Current Employee) –  Daly City, CA 94015January 24, 2019
Working at the Giants Dugout was a very interesting experience. If you do not have a lot of experience talking to people on the fly, understanding what a retail workplace environment is like, or developing a thick skin, this would be a good place to start. You get a good amount of hands on training, as well as develop skills such as being a cashier, being a salesman, and handling clothing merchandise. The best part about the experience was the employees. The people I got to work with were very kind and helpful, as well as patient when it came to making mistakes. Furthermore, it was fun working for a team that is very important to the sports culture of the BAY AREA. The job isn't perfect, however. Like any retail job, you must learn how to handle customers (whether or not they are the nicest people), take care of merchandise, and move on from mistakes (such as inputting incorrect numbers, not remembering information on merchandise). There are also some employees/ higher ups who are more patient and understanding than others. Most importantly, developing a thick skin is important, because getting yelled at by a customer or making mistakes can be frustrating. In general, I would recommend this job because it was a great place to gain retail, customer service, and cashier experience. I was also able to get promoted with a pay raise within a year, so taking the initiative, stepping up as a leader, and adapting to difficult situations pay off nicely.
Pros
Employees were helpful and nice, pay was good, retail and customer service experience were great.
Cons
Retail Work can be frustrating, can be difficult to handle customers.
