Enjoyed working with San Juan County and would not mind working for them again.
VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER (Former Employee) – Shiprock, NM and Kirtland, NM – October 2, 2018
Working on an on call voluntary basis with San Juan County was one of the best decisions I have made. Working with people who are willing to assist you and answer any questions you need was awesome. Quick response and teamwork when called out was fast pace and adrenaline rush. I am glad I had the opportunity to work with some great people.
Deputy Fire Chief (Current Employee) – Aztec, NM – December 21, 2017
San Juan County is a great place to work. The CEO is an outstanding manager who makes working there fun and exciting. The county looks out for their employees and works very hard to ensure the well being of all of the employees.
Planning Director (Former Employee) – Friday Harbor, WA – October 23, 2017
Highly variable schedule and time content. Learned to manage multiple tasks simultaneously among interruptions. Highly politicized supervision. Political nature of work hardest but sometimes the most enjoyable challenge.
detention (Former Employee) – New Mexico – October 31, 2015
The pay and benefits are good. But upper management could care less about employees. They don't praise workers for doing a good job. But are quick to point out there faults. Good old boy atmosphere to move up.
I give the job a 100 % I wished I could have stayed at san juan county ,but had to leave for personal reasons. I would go back in a heart beat, I was blessed to have a short experience with all the workers I encountered at the facility.
Volunteer Fire Fighter (Former Employee) – Aztec, NM – February 27, 2014
Intense job. Very quick enviroment and fun. Learned to help save ppl and how to keep ourselves safe. The hardest part was staying back untill you learn everything. The most enjoyable part was when someone was saved and sound.
