Supply Chain Analyst (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXSeptember 11, 2018
ok place to work. The company is currently going through a lot of changes and implementations. This is a Saudi company and I unless you're Saudi, you will not progress much.

Most of the people recently hired feel they were misled as to what their role would entail. Management is immature and has no integrity. There is no professionalism .

Global Company based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Most of the leaders and high ranking IT professionals work in Saudi. Regional support is lacking access to make configuration changes.

Senior Executive Assistant (Former Employee) –  Huntersville, NCJuly 31, 2018
Sabic was a great place to work, however, the North Carolina office closed and relocated to Texas. I was hired as a contractor because closing the NC office was in the works.

ACCOUNT MANAGER/CUSTOMER SERVICE REP (Former Employee) –  Huntersville, NCJuly 23, 2018
Customer service reps did more than just customer service, to which it was never acknowledged by any level of management. There was no real level of development or growth in that department.
Pros
Able to work from home when needed
Cons
No growth

Administrative Assistant - Support (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 22, 2018
You are expected to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week (24/7). Benefits are OK. Very stressful and demanding work environment....your life is not your own.Constant changes with schedules - meetings and travel arrangements, it is as if no one can decide what they really want and you better be on point with all the changes. Even on holidays or days off you are expected to have your mobile phone on hand and check email on your lap top.
Pros
Compensation ok
Cons
Stressful & demanding environment

Process Improvement Leader (Current Employee) –  Huntersville, NCFebruary 25, 2018
I worked here 7 years before they closed the Huntersville office. Great individual employees. A good population of the management had been entrenched for a while, they tended to bucket people based on their own ideas as those with 'leadership' potential, verses really being open to doing things new ways.
Pros
depending on the role and projects, there can be travel to europe and asia
Cons
You got to be willing to accept its owned by the Saudi Government, this bring pros and cons.

Great at first then people became unhappy
Finance (Former Employee) –  Pittsfield, MADecember 3, 2017
SABIC used to be a very good place to work, very relaxed and there were a lot of good reasons to go to work every day.It was challenging and the company was making a name in the industy. Then little by little good top management were seeing the changing environment and left for better offers. The ones that stayed, probably should have left also because they were not capable to make rational decisions, along with the Saudi presense. Its a shame as a large part of the workforce has departed.its sad what the company has become what it is
Pros
The people who made the company looked good
Cons
Negative atmosphere created by upper management

Fairly relaxed corporate environment
Specialist (Former Employee) –  Pittsfield, MANovember 12, 2017
SABIC is a fairly typical corporate environment. Local management was competent. The company was reorganizing its corporate structure but it is a very slow process and there was still a lot of 'good ol boy' network in place especially in Saudi Arabia.
Pros
Excellent compliance culture, Room to do what you want to do
Cons
Unrealistic deadlines from management

Good, Bad and Chaos
Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 26, 2017
Working for a good company, with bad management, leads to chaos. Some of the people here are wonderful, but others are not. Unfortunately, the ones that are not seem to be in upper management and are seemingly allowed to go un-checked in how they manage and treat people. HR is not helpful.

Management needs to settle down
Sr. Bus. Mgr, Portfolio Management (Current Employee) –  Exeter, NHOctober 16, 2017
Too many restructuring and management changes. If the management would settle down and let the workers work it will improve the output tremendously. There is a lack of confidence that the current structure will last.

Sr. Analyst, Facility Manager (Former Employee) –  Huntersville, NCAugust 30, 2017
SABIC is a large company with deep pockets if you are doing a good job they will do a good job for you. I think management is outside the norm in that they do go above and beyond to keep employees happy.

Good Place to work
Logistics (Current Employee) –  Huntersville, NCAugust 28, 2017
SABIC in Huntersville, NC, was a great place to work. Great Management Team and Benefits. Unfortunately, the office is shutting down and jobs are going to Houston, TX. The company is doing a good job of incentivizing employees to re-locate to Houston, and taking care of employees who choose to stay in Charlotte.
Pros
Great Managers, Good work-life balance
Cons
Re-locating to Houston, Tx
