Great for those who are starting out as an NDT to get some hours. But QC has been understaffed for months, so be ready for a very intense workload. There are those on the team who will not carry their own weight, work incredibly slow, or just make so many mistakes for others to deal with because they know there won't be any repercussions from it. Company does not plan ahead for deadlines, so rush jobs are a daily thing. Their COVID-19 response was horrible, and 7 months in are just starting to implement mask policies and put hand sanitizer out. It took them 3 months to put door stops on the bathroom doors so you could open it with your foot, and that only happened because the CEO was coming. Pay is not comparable for most NDT jobs, but they do hire with no experience. Keep in mind that your teammates may also have no experience and can and will choose to work slowly so you do most of the work. Basically no room for advancement, but as QC you do get raises for each cert you get to level 2. 60 hours a week minimum, constantly asked to stay over, so count on that being higher. No time with family, to get things done, or generally have a life outside of work. If you are experienced in NDT or are just starting out, use this place only as a last resort.
No breaks except lunch, long hours, no work-life balance
