In the state of Texas, if a company hires another company to do background checks for their company they are only allowed to go back seven years. If the company does the background check themselves they can go back as far as they want. It is very time consuming to do a background check. The majority of companies hire someone else to do a background check. Yes, they do hire people who have felonies. As long as you have been clean for seven straight years and pass a drug test they will hire you.
